FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if my child cannot attend the whole Sports Camp?

Still come! Register your camper like normal, and they can attend the other days.

What if I can only volunteer for part of Sports Camp?

No problem, we would still love to have you! Please inform us what days of Sports Camp you're able to help on the volunteer form, and we'll accommodate.

My child has food allergies. Can I bring my child’s own snack?

Absolutely! At check-in, simply give them your child’s labeled snack if they cannot have what is provided. Please list all food allergies in your Camper's form, and we will contact you for the best accommodations.

What does my child need to wear? Will my child need a change of clothes?

We advise to dress for hot weather, and please wear comfortable tennis shoes. Your child will not need a change of clothes.

Who can I contact while my child is at Sports Camp?

Contact information will be provided when your Camper is registered.

How are Campers divided into tracks and small groups?

Campers will be in small groups with their gender and grade. Campers will be in tracks by groups of PreK, K-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade.

Can my child bring a water bottle?

Water bottles are welcome and encouraged, but water will be available and provided. Please clearly write or label your Camper's name on their water bottle.

How old does my child need to be to attend Sports Camp?

Sports Camp is for children who have completed Pre-K and are entering Kindergarten through completed 5th grade.

How do I check in my child?

We will begin check-in at 6:00pm in the front of the church. If you’ve pre-registered, simply jump in line to grab your child’s tag. After your child is checked in, head to the auditorium to find their group.

Can I bring a child that has not registered?

Absolutely! Simply jump in the line to register a new camper and we’ll get you set up.

What will my child be eating?

We will be serving a snack and juice daily. These will be listed each day at check-in.

Will childcare be provided for Sports Camp?

Due to the usage of rooms and space constraints, we cannot offer childcare at this time.

My child has allergies and/or a medical condition that might require medication. Can I bring their medication?

No problem! Let the volunteer at check-in know so we can make a note on your child’s tag. Then, head to our nurse to check-in their medication and alert them of any specific directions.

May I stay with my child?

Yes, however you must have a background check approved in advance. You will sign in with the nurse to check-in and wear a visitor’s tag at all times. For more information, contact lisa@graystonechurch.com.

How do I pick up my child?

We will dismiss Pre-K from their designated room and Elementary from the auditorium both at 8:30 pm. For your child’s safety, the person picking up must have a  matching tag for each camper (it is helpful to take a picture of your tags). If a tag has been misplaced, simply go to the nurse to provide identification.
