The city of Grayson is partnering with Make-A-Wish Georgia to help grant wishes for local area children as part of the annual Grayson Day Festival being held on April 26th. Four children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions are going to have their dreams come to life, including one who attends Graystone.
Houston Abner, a 4th grader, was born with multiple congenital heart defects which resulted in a single ventricle and has had to endure four open-heart surgeries. He received a pacemaker in the fall of 2012 to treat complete heart block. His wish is to go to Disneyland and the Disney Studios in California to see where the Disney Channel is filmed and produced. You can read more about his story here.
These children will also serve as Grand Marshals of the Grayson Day Parade and each will have their own custom float.
As a church, we want to be a part of what God is doing in this wonderful community so we have given a gift of financial support to see these dreams come alive for Houston and others. If you'd like to make a personal donation, you can do so here.
